Tree Lopping and Removal Across Baldivis

Baldivis mixes new estates with semi-rural lots and big old remnant trees. We arrange local contractors for everything from courtyard pruning to removing large paddock trees.

Tree work in Baldivis

Baldivis is the inland neighbour of Secret Harbour and Warnbro, and it is very different ground. Newer estates with compact yards sit alongside older semi-rural lots, and there are wetlands and low-lying areas through the suburb. The trees reflect that mix: planted ornamentals and young eucalypts in the estates, and big remnant tuarts, marri, paperbarks and flooded gums on the larger lots.

We arrange tree lopping, tree removal, stump grinding, stump removal, palm tree removal and bamboo removal across Baldivis, quoted on site by independent local contractors.

Estate yards

In the newer parts of Baldivis, the work looks much like the coastal estates: trees planted with the houses that have outgrown small yards, narrow side access, and stumps to grind before landscaping. Sections are lowered by rope and branches are carried out to the street.

Semi-rural lots

On larger lots, trees can be much bigger and older. Remnant eucalypts may have large dead limbs, old wounds and hollows. Where there is room, trees can sometimes be felled whole, which is quicker than a sectional climb. Machinery access is usually easier, but the volume of timber is larger.

Zoning matters here. The City of Rockingham has said native trees on rural, special rural and special residential land need City approval to remove, while standard residential lots are treated differently. Check your zoning and talk to the City before removing native trees.

Wet ground

Parts of Baldivis are low-lying, with a higher water table in winter. Trees in wet sand can be less stable during storms, and machinery can bog in soft ground. Contractors may recommend scheduling heavy work in drier months where possible.

Getting a quote

Call (08) 9515 3848 or send the form with photos of the trees and access. The cost guide has 2026 planning bands, and the coastal trees guide covers species common across the area.

Large timber and waste

Big trees produce a lot of timber. On a semi-rural lot, you may want to keep some for firewood or leave logs as habitat, which can reduce the cost of the job. Say so before the quote is written. Green waste and chip can also be left for mulch on larger properties. If the tree shows signs of borer activity, check current Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development guidance before moving or keeping the wood.

Power lines on larger lots

Semi-rural properties sometimes have overhead lines running across the block to the house or sheds. Trees near those lines need an authorised contractor. Mention any overhead wires when you call so the right person comes to quote.

What to send with your Baldivis enquiry

A photo of the whole tree, a close photo of the base of the trunk, and one of the route the crew would take from the street. Add the street name, the rough height of the tree, and anything below it that needs protecting, such as a roof, pool, shed or garden bed. With that, the contractor can plan the visit properly and the written quote is usually quicker to arrive.

Common questions

Before you book: the usual questions

Do I need approval to remove trees on a semi-rural Baldivis lot?

The City of Rockingham has said native trees on rural, special rural and special residential zoned land need City approval to remove, generally limited to dead, diseased or dangerous trees or where other laws require clearing. Check your zoning and contact the City before removing native trees.

Can large paddock trees be felled whole?

Often, on larger lots where there is room for the tree to fall safely. Where a tree is near a house, shed or fence, it is taken down in sections instead. The contractor will assess this on site.

Are the trees in Baldivis different from those on the coast?

Yes. Inland Baldivis has older grey sands and wetter low-lying areas, so tuarts, marri, paperbarks and flooded gums are more common, and trees can be larger than on exposed coastal blocks.

Can you handle a large job with several trees?

Yes. Ask for each tree to be priced as a separate line so you can choose which to go ahead with.
