One call, six kinds of tree work

Tree Lopper Secret Harbour arranges tree work for homes and properties across Secret Harbour and the surrounding suburbs. Each job is quoted on site by a local contractor and written up so you know what you are paying for. Below is a short guide to each service and when it is the right choice.

Tree lopping and pruning

For trees that are healthy but too big, too heavy on one side or too close to the roof. Lopping done properly reduces the crown by cutting back to side branches, not stubs. It also covers lifting low limbs, thinning and removing deadwood from salt-exposed canopies. Read about tree lopping.

Tree removal

For trees that are dead, split, leaning more than they used to or standing where something else needs to go. On tight blocks the tree is taken down in roped sections; on larger lots it may be felled. Read about tree removal.

Stump grinding

For stumps in lawns and garden beds. The stump is ground below the surface so you can turf, plant or pave over it. Surface roots running through the sand can be chased out too. Read about stump grinding.

Stump removal

For stumps where something is being built: a pool, slab, footing or driveway. The stump and main roots are dug out and the hole backfilled. Read about stump removal.

Palm tree removal and cleaning

For Washingtonia, date and cocos palms that need dead fronds and seed stalks removed or the whole palm taken down. Palm waste is handled differently from timber. Read about palm work.

Bamboo removal

For bamboo screens that have spread too far. The canes are cut and the rhizomes dug out so the bamboo does not come back. Read about bamboo removal.

Choosing between jobs

Plenty of calls start with "I think it needs to come out" and end with a prune, and the reverse happens too. The contractor who looks at the tree will explain the options. If you want to read up first, the coastal trees guide explains how local species respond to sand and salt, and the cost guide has 2026 planning bands.

Common questions

Before you book: the usual questions

Can I get more than one job quoted at once?

Yes, and it usually makes sense. A removal, a stump grind and a prune on another tree can all go on one quote, each as its own line, so you can decide which parts to go ahead with.

Do you do emergency storm work?

If a tree or limb has come down, keep everyone clear and call during our phone hours. If it is touching power lines, stay well away and contact Western Power first. We will tell you honestly whether a contractor can get there and when.

Do you take on commercial or strata jobs?

Mention the property type when you call. Many contractors work on strata and small commercial sites as well as houses, and the quote process is the same.

What areas do you cover?

Secret Harbour, Port Kennedy, Warnbro, Golden Bay, Singleton, Baldivis and Karnup. If you are just outside those suburbs, ask and we will tell you straight whether we can help.
