Tree work in Warnbro
Warnbro is one of the more established suburbs at the southern end of the City of Rockingham, looking over Warnbro Sound. Because many homes and gardens here are older than those in the newer estates, the trees are often larger. Peppermints, eucalypts, Norfolk Island pines and date palms planted decades ago have grown into big trees, sometimes very close to houses, sheds and fences.
We arrange tree lopping, tree removal, stump grinding, stump removal, palm tree removal and bamboo removal for Warnbro properties, quoted on site by independent local contractors.
Big old trees
The most common Warnbro request is a mature tree that has simply become too big for the block. The canopy covers the roof, leaves fill the gutters, roots lift paving, and heavy limbs hang over the house. Often a careful reduction makes the tree manageable without removing it. Sometimes, if the tree is dead or failing, removal is the right call.
Older trees also tend to have more deadwood, old pruning wounds that have decayed, and included bark at forks. These are worth having inspected, especially before winter when cold fronts bring strong gusts.
Pines and palms
Warnbro has a fair number of tall Norfolk Island pines and Canary Island date palms. Neither can be lopped like an ordinary tree. Pines can have dead lower branches removed, and palms can be cleaned of dead fronds, but if they have outgrown their space, removal in sections is usually the answer.
Access
Older Warnbro blocks are often a little larger than in the newer estates, with wider side access, which can make the job easier. Even so, sheds, pools and established gardens often sit under the trees, so sections are lowered rather than dropped.
Getting a quote
Call (08) 9515 3848 or send the form with photos. Planning prices are on the cost guide, and the coastal trees guide explains how local species behave.
Signs an older tree needs a closer look
- Large dead limbs, especially over the roof or driveway
- Old pruning cuts that have rotted back into the trunk
- Cracks or splits at forks, often where two stems meet in a tight V
- Fungal growths at the base or on the trunk
- Roots lifting paving, or soil cracking on one side of the trunk
None of these alone means the tree must go. They are reasons to have it inspected before the winter fronts arrive.
Older gardens, more to protect
Established Warnbro gardens often have mature shrubs, garden beds, limestone walls and older sheds and patios under the canopy. Tell the contractor what matters to you so the quote can say how it will be protected.
What to send with your Warnbro enquiry
A photo of the whole tree, a close photo of the base of the trunk, and one of the route the crew would take from the street. Add the street name, the rough height of the tree, and anything below it that needs protecting, such as a roof, pool, shed or garden bed. With that, the contractor can plan the visit properly and the written quote is usually quicker to arrive.
